Our article “Incentivizing Data Quality in Blockchain-Based Systems—The Case of the Digital Cardossier” has been accepted by the ACM Journal Distributed Ledger Technologies: Research and Practice. This is joint work with Prof. Dr. Claudio J. Tessone, Dr. Liudmila Zavolokina, and Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schwabe. The article is the culmination of long work on incentives for improving the quality in permissioned blockchains. We propose an inctive system, which we evaluate by using an agent-based model with strategy evolution. We can show that a rating-based revenue distribution leads to markedly higher data quality in the system.
